A short history
The farm is a traditional English hill farm and when it came up for sale in 2023 we jumped at the chance of taking this on as a project. The house and land had been rented out separately for a long period. The land had been used mainly for sheep. We were keen to bring it back into full production and to use regenerative grazing practises to maximise the health and biodiversity of the land.
Goats and cattle provide the ideal combination to achieve this goal. We are already starting to see new species appear in the grassland and the health of the land continue to improve.
The ethos of the farm is “a place to grow”. We want the land to be healthy, the animals to thrive and for people to visit and really enjoy the experience of farm life.
