A short history

We graze in short bursts then give each paddock a long rest. Roots push deeper, soil holds more water, and worm casts soon pepper the surface.

No artificial fertiliser, herbicide, or pesticide touches the ground. Dung beetles, fungi, and bacteria do the work instead.

Because every animal eats mainly grass, the meat carries a fuller flavour and more omega‑3. Goats and cattle wander, pick the plants they want, and stay healthy without routine antibiotics.

As the pasture thickens, we count new grasses, clovers, vetches, and flowers each season. Longer swards hide skylark nests and seed heads feed finches. Healthy soil, healthy stock, and healthy people all start from the ground up.

Rainwater tanks, solar panels, and air‑source heat pumps keep our energy use low, and the soil locks away more carbon every year.
